Melis has over 25 years working in supply chain and has worked both in the for-profit and nonprofit sector. At the Aidmatrix Foundation, she supported more than 50 disaster response efforts - both domestic and international - from California wildfires to the Haiti earthquake. Post Hurricane Katrina, Melis helped to design and implement the nation’s first National Donations Management System working closely with FEMA, state and national Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (VOAD), State Emergency Managers, private sector partners and grant making organizations. Melis is a FEMA Certified State Volunteer and Donations Management by the Emergency Management Institute.
