Are retailers and manufacturers ready for the holiday rush?

With the holiday season fast approaching, retailers and manufacturers around the world are preparing themselves for what is always their most important time of the year.

This year the stakes are even higher. A relatively late Thanksgiving in the US has created an unusually compressed window for shoppers to buy their gifts.The National Retail Federation found that up to 140 million people plan to or will shop over this Thanksgiving weekend, with approximately 97 million shoppers on Black Friday alone. Also helpful, Google has released a  report that breaks down when exactly shoppers plan to start making holiday purchases.
