A picture is worth a thousand words…. sometimes more. Maps in particular convey a lot of information in small space. This map highlights the most profitable industry in each state in the USA. (This does not mean it’s necessarily the biggest industry in the state.)
The most profitable state is Texas, with mineral products generating profits of $73 billion.
The least profitable state is South Dakota, whose meat products bring in $223 million a year.
